In this episode of the Jewish futurism Lab, Mike Wirth talks with Jacob Hasse Albino, the Jewish Brazilian storyteller and chazzan (cantor) behind Judeofuturism.

Jacob’s project is a series of visionary novella stories imagining Jews in space. In Tales from Galut, Jewish refugees leave a devastated Earth and build a new home on the planet Galut. Through Shabbat, Hebrew, AI, terraforming, and communal life, Jacob imagines how Jewish tradition might evolve far beyond Earth. All inspired by his own experience as a Jewish person and leader in his tiny, but mighty( and very remote), Jewish community in Itapema, Brazil.

Mike and Jacob discuss Jewish science fiction, crypto-Jewish history, and the possibility of a future off-Earth Talmud for Jews (human, alien and AI) among the stars.
