Game rules designed to help pass Jewish knowledge or values along during a play experience. The goal is not only to entertain players, but should help keep the chain of tradition going. The game of dreidel is an example of mesorah mechanics in action.

The chain of Jewish transmission is called Mesorah: the way stories, skills, texts, and practices move from one person to another over time. Mechanics are the rules and systems that make a game work.
